Apple introduces new version of cheapest iPad

During its September iPhone event today, Apple has unveiled its latest entry-level iPad.

The seventh generation iPad features a larger 10.2-inch Retina display, an 8-megapixel camera and it has Apple’s A10 Fusion chipset built-in, which the company said is 2x faster than the top-selling PC. The device is also compatible with Apple’s smart keyboard case, as well as the first-generation Apple Pencil. It still has Touch ID-equipped home button below the display. It also retains the Lightning connector and a headphone jack.

Apple says, for the first time, this iPad’s enclosure is made from 100 percent recycled aluminium. It also has dual microphones, stereo speakers and support for Gigabit-class LTE connectivity.
