Xiaomi Mi Max with 6.44-inch Display, 16MP Camera, 4850mAh Battery Launched

Xiaomi has launched its first phablet named Mi Max at an event in China. The Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS 2.5D Curved Glass Display. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 or an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage or 4GB of RAM with 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded using microSD card. It sports a 16MP Rear camera with Dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, support Full HD video recording and a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It has a fingerprint sensor on the back which can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. The Xiaomi Mi Max measures 7.5mm thickness and weighs 203 grams. It boasts 4850mAh non-removable battery. The Phablet supports Hybrid Dual-SIM ( micro + nano / microSD card ) with Dual Standby. It runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Connectivity options includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is available in Gold, Silver and Light grey colour variants. It comes in three variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, Snapdragon 650 SoC variant has been priced at 1499 Yuan (around $230 / Rs. 15,300) while the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage, Snapdragon 652 SoC costs 1699 Yuan (around $260 / Rs. 17,300) and the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, Snapdragon 652 SoC has been priced at 1999 Yuan (around $306 / Rs.20,450). The Phablet is now available for order and will go on sale starting from May 17th in China.
