Xiaomi has just unveiled its latest flagship smartphone named Mi 5S at an event in China. The Xiaomi Mi 5S has a full metal unibody design and features a 5.15-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Display which has a 16 LED backlight to push the brightness up to 600 nits. It is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 64-bit processor and Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage.
There’s a 12MP Rear camera with Dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX378 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, PDAF, support 4K video recording and a 4MP Front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 80-degree wide-angle lens, 1080p video recording. It has a under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor below the display that scans your fingerprint in a split-second.
The device packs a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 operating system. Connectivity options includes Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C & GPS/GLONASS.

The Xiaomi Mi 5S comes in Dark Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold colour options. It has been priced at 1999 Yuan (approximately $299 / Rs. 19,900) for the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM with 128GB variant costs 2299 Yuan (approximately $345 / Rs. 22,900). It will be available for sale starting from 29th September in China.
