Panasonic P88 with 5.3-inch HD Display, 4G VoLTE Launched in India for Rs. 9,290

Panasonic has launched its new P series smartphone named Panasonic P88 in India. The Panasonic P88 features a 5.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS Display with a 2.5D curved Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It sports a 13-megapixel Rear camera with triple LED Flash and a 5-megapixel Front-facing camera with LED flash. The device measures 8.35mm thickness and weighs 156 grams. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button below the display which can unlock the device in just 0.2 second.

The Dual-SIM smartphone boasts a 2600mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 & GPS.

The Panasonic P88 comes in Gold and Charcoal Grey colour options and has been priced at Rs. 9,290. The smartphone is available through retail stores across the country.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the year drawing to a close, the P88 is an affordable 4G smartphone offering for the Indian market. In a first for smartphones, the Phone comes with a front LED flash for the selfie lovers The phone also comes with an anti-dust receiver to help maintain the phone for longer periods of time.
