ASUS has launched their new smartphone ZenFone Zoom at an event in India. The ZenFone Series has been highly successful, all over the world selling 28 million units till now. In India, ASUS has sold 3 million ZenFones and a record highest 80,000 ZenFones in a day via online sale, ” ASUS CEO Jerry Shen said.
The ZenFone Zoom was announced last year at CES. ASUS ZenFone Zoom features 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Display with 401ppi pixel density and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. It comes with 4GB Ram and 128GB storage.
The main highlight of this smartphone is its optical zoom capability in the rear camera that is expected to add a new dimension to the camera performance. It comes with a 13MP f/2.7-4.8 aperture Rear camera with OIS, Laser Auto-focus and dual-tone LED Flash. It has 10-element HOYA Lens and 3X Optical Zoom for DSLR like performance.
On the front, it has 5MP Front Camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI on top. It has a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery which can be charged upto 60% in just 40minutes.
It will be available in Pure Black and Ceramic White colours. The ZenFone Zoom is priced at Rs.37,999 and is now available for purchase on Flipkart. ASUS also announced a package which consists ZenFone Zoom, ZenFlash and Tripod for Rs.39,999.
