ASUS ZenFone AR with 8GB RAM, Google Daydream, Tango Support Launched in India for Rs. 49,999

Taiwanese multinational computer and phone hardware company Asus has a very big name by manufacturing motherboards and other computer peripherals. But the company touched new heights by stepping in smartphone market after launching its Zenfone series smartphones in 2014, three years ago.

Few weeks back, ASUS surprised the world by launching its latest smartphone of ZenFone series known as ZenFone AR. Which is known for its whopping 8GB of RAM which is first seen in any smartphone. To recall, the phone was first unveiled during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year. The company proved itself once again by launching a true flagship smartphone with some insane specifications.

ASUS ZenFone AR Specs

The design of the phone looks something different from the usual. The front side of the phone looks sleek with minimum bezel size with an oval shaped button below the screen which also works as a fingerprint sensor. The back side of the phone has a futuristic looking camera along with LED flash and sensors.

The phone features a 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor (optimised for Tango) and Adreno 530 GPU. It has 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using microSD card. The phone also supports Google Tango, an augmented reality computing platform which can enable smartphones and tablets by the use of computer vision as to detect the position using GPS.

Talking about the Camera, the ZenFone AR has an impressive 23-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and features like, OIS (4-axis), 3x zoom, phase detection autofocus, depth & motion tracking sensors. It can record a video of 2160p @24fps and [email protected] fps. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and screen flash.

It runs ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a powerful 3300mAh lithium ion battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The ASUS ZenFone AR smartphone has been priced at Rs. 49,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting 4PM today.

ASUS has teamed up with Reliance Jio to offer up to 100GB additional 4G data and a complimentary Prime membership as well. Flipkart is offering Rs. 2,500 off on Google Daydream View VR headset along with the purchase of ZenFone AR smartphone.
