Asus has launched its latest smartphone, called the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 6 inch variant in India. Two other variants of the device namely Zenfone 2 Laser 5 and Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 have already been launched in India earlier this year.
Asus has now announced the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) in India at a price of Rs 17,999. The device will be available via various e-commerce portals such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. It will be available in Red, Silver and Gold colour variants.
In terms of specifications, the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) sports a 6-inch full-HD display along with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) processor paired with 3GB RAM. There is 32GB of internal memory onboard which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone comes with 5GB of web storage for lifetime and 100GB of Google drive space for two years.
Highlight of this phone is its camera department. It sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual LED real tone flash, f/2.0 aperture, PixelMaster. It also supports laser auto focus that is claimed to focus in just 0.03 seconds. There is also a 5 mega pixel secondary camera on on the front with f/2.0 aperture for capturing selfies and making video calls.
The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based ZenUI with software enhancements such as What’s Next, ZenLink, ZenMotion, Quick Access, ASUS Splendid, Kids Mode, Snap View, One Hand Mode, Trend Micro Security, Themes and more.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. A 3000 mAh Li-Polymer removable battery completes the package.
