Google Pixel XL 2 will have an always-on display, squeeze gestures and more

Google is big and well known name in the field of internet related services and products. The search giant declared war on the iPhone last year with the launch of its Pixel series smartphones. The larger screen version Pixel XL was one among the highest sold smartphones of all time. The second generation of the Pixel XL series was surfaced few weeks back and we got its specifications surfaced on a benchmarking website GFXBench earlier this morning.

According to the pictures and information given on the website, the Pixel XL 2 smartphone will have a large 6-inch AMOLED always-on display with 2880×1440 pixels screen resolution. The screen will have round corners. In the pictures, the phone seems to have a curved display but is actually flat according to the reports.

Unlike its predecessor, the back side glass window of the phone is going to be much smaller than before and the fingerprint sensor will be below the glass. The phone will also have the logo of the company imprinted at the bottom. According to the leaks, the phone will have a squeezable frame as seen in HTC U11 which means you can actually squeeze the frame to interact.

The Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone has been rumoured to come with a sleek and stylish metal-glass, extremely small bezels and powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. It also has 4GB of RAM and a 128GB of internal storage. Talking about the camera, it has a 12-megapixel primary camera with UHD video recording and a LED flash. The front camera is of 7-megapixel which supports UHD video recording. The phone will run on the latest Android 8 OS which might be called ‘O’. You can experience the feel of stock android interface in this phone with Google’s new Assistant packed in it.

The matte grey back of the phone seems extremely eye catching, we all have seen the capabilities of Google and by this phone the company once again proved itself. The phone will surely going to kill its competitors. The phone is expected to launch in October this year exactly one year after the launch of its Pixel XL smartphone. It is expected to have a few more leaks about the phone telling about other specifications of the phone like battery, pricing etc.
