Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Launched in India at Rs 89,990


Microsoft has finally brought the Surface Pro 4 and the older Surface Pro 3 hybrid devices to India. The Surface Pro 3 models start at Rs 73,990, while the new Surface Pro 4 tablet is priced at 89,990 and will be available from January 14th. Microsoft has partnered exclusively with Pre-orders begin today.

Microsoft is bundling the Surface Pen stylus with the all variants of tablets except the entry-level Surface Pro 3 model. Buyers will have to shell out an extra Rs 12,490 for the Smart Keyboard, which works with both Surface Pro 3 and Pro 4 and turns the tablet into a full-fledged laptop.

The Surface Pro 3 is an entry level tablet priced at 73,990 INR. The Surface Pro 3 is 12 inch tablet with a resolution of 2160×1440. Inside, this tab has an i3(4th gen) processor, running on 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD. Pro 3 runs on Windows 10 Pro out of the box. It weighs only 798g and 9.1mm thin. It gives upto 9 hours of battery life.



The Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch screen with 267 pixels per inch. It runs on Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Operating sytem. The Surface Pro 4 comes with USB 3.0 port, card reader, minidisplay port, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. The camera can also supports Windows Hello face authentication and there is a fingerprint sensor at the front as well. It has a TPM chip for enterprise security. It weighs between 766 grams to 786 grams depending on the processor you choose and is 8.45 mm thick. It comes with Stereo microphones and Stereo speakers with Dolby audio for sound enhancement. It is available in three Intel processor options: i3, i5 and i7. It will be available in 4GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage.
