Motorola’s Moto G 3rd gen phone is now getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Motorola India announced on its Twitter account. “Here is something new and amazing for your Moto G (3rd Gen.), the Android 6.0 Marshmallow!”
The announcement for the upgrade comes a week after Motorola rolled out the upgrade for the United States and Canada.
The size of the update is nearly 2 GB and it will add some more features like Doze , Google Now on Tap , redesigned app permissions and a simpler volume control and would remove the “Migrate” and “Assist” apps.
How to check for the update:
Generally, the phone would automatically notify you about the update. If, however, one does not receive the notification, one can manually check for the update by going to Settings >> About Phone >> System Update.
