Ringing Bells has launched their Freedom 251 smartphone priced at just Rs.251 in India. The specifications of the smartphone has been listed on company’s website. The launch is in line with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story,” the Noida-based company said. The Freedom 251 will be officially unveiled by the Union Defence Minister Mr. Manohar Parrikar and Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi at an event in New Delhi.
Ringing Bells Freedom 251 sports a 4-inch qHD IPS Display. It is powered by 1.3Ghz quad-core processor along with 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. It comes with 3.2MP AF Camera and a 0.3MP Front Camera. The Dual-Sim 3G smartphone backs 1450mAh battery. It would be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with some pre-installed apps like Women Safety, Swachh Bharat, Fisherman, Farmer, Medical, Whatsapp, Facebook, YouTube etc.
The smartphone will be available with 1 year warranty over 650 service centers across India. Bookings for the Freedom 251 open on February 18 at 6AM and close on 21 February at 8PM. The company says that delievers will be completed by 30th June.
