Motorola’s first all-metal Smartphone Moto M Launched in India starting at Rs. 15,999

Motorola has officially launched its first all-metal smartphone named Moto M in India. The device was launched in china last month. The Moto M features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS Display with a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D Curved Glass protection. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 64-bit processor along with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. There’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. There is a 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage as well.

It sports a 16-megapixel Rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, support Full HD 1080p video recording and a 8-megapixel Front camera with 85-Degree wide-angle lens. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back and offers water repellent nano-coating to prevent any damage from water splashes. The device measures 7.85mm thickness and weighs 163 grams. It packs in a 3050mAh non-removable battery which supports turbo charge technology.

The Dual-SIM smartphone comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM slot which means the second sim slot can be used as microSD card slot. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and should get Nougat update soon. Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC, USB Type-C & GPS.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto M comes in Gold and Silver colour options and has been priced at Rs. 15,999 for 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant while the 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage variant costs Rs. 17,999. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting today midnight. The company is also offering some exclusive launch day offers like Rs. 1000 discount with Citibank credit cards, Rs. 2000 off on exchange of your old smartphone and Rs. 1000 off on the Moto Pulse 2 headset.
