HP has announced its premium Windows 10 smartphone called Elite X3 at MWC 2016. HP Elite X3 sports a 5.93-inch Quad HD AMOLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor along with Adreno 520 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage which can be expanded up to 2TB using microSD card. The Elite X3 comes with a 16MP Rear Camera with a LED Flash and a 8MP Front facing camera.
It runs on Windows 10 and also comes with Iris scanner and Fingerprint sensor as well. It is 7.8mm thick and weighs 195gms. It is the first Windows smartphone which comes with IP67 water resistance. It boasts 4150mAh non-removable battery that supports quick charging and it also supports wireless charging using both Qi and PMA standards. Other connectivity options includes Windows 10 continuum, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB Type-C Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
HP has also introduced two accessories for the Elite X3 called the Desk Dock and Mobile Extender. The Desk dock comes with displayport, two USB Type-A, one Type-C and RJ-45 etthernet port and can be used to connect the phablet to an external display and the Mobile Extender has 12-inch Full HD Display, keyboard, speakers, battery and a trackpad which connects to the elite X3 and provides laptop functionality.
